Adults: Building and Growing Healthier People at the Land Institute
Your stay at the Land Institute will help you develop healthful living skills as lifestyle habits. These skills include setting priorities, managing stress, perceiving objectively, healthy eating, taking time to renew, and healthy self-awareness essential to function well with others. Time spent at the Land Institute will reinforce the importance of community and teach you skills for better understanding. Community is a vital part of our healthy survival.
Adults, corporations, businesses, couples and small groups such as sororities and fraternities, church groups, non-profit organizations, and networking groups are invited to participate. Programs are available for 1 to 3 days and may include the following components:
- Accommodations and meal preparation in the clean, green, house—a 5000-square-foot straw bale house.
- Baking bread in the outdoor, wood fired horno oven.
- Discussion sessions in one of two Butterfly Gardens and the Stone Labyrinth.
- Journaling and reflective time in the Deer Meadow.
- Learn mastery as you practice the art of fly fishing in the pond.
Explore and understand the similarities between land patterns and life patterns. Learn stewardship applications in this unique sustainable environment. Your unique program will focus on well-being, building relationships and problem solving.
