Blackwood LANDFARM Volunteer Sign-up

The easiest way to experience Blackwood is to roll up your sleeves and join us at the Landfarm in Hempstead. Our weekly Volunteer Days are the heartbeat of the farm, where neighbors, families, students, and first-time visitors work side by side to keep this living classroom thriving. No experience is needed, only a willingness to learn and lend a hand.

Volunteers take part in the real work of a regenerative farm, from planting and harvesting to tending beds, caring for animals, and preparing the land for the seasons ahead. Along the way you will learn directly from our team about sustainable agriculture, soil health, and the rhythms of growing food the way nature intended. It is honest, grounding work, and the results are visible by the end of the day.

Whether you come once or make it a weekly habit, your time makes a genuine difference to Blackwood's mission of connecting people to the land. Bring water, wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty, and come ready to be part of something bigger than yourself. We would love to have you out on the Landfarm.
