Volunteer with Blackwood
The easiest way to get your hands in the soil. Our weekly volunteer days are open to everyone, with no training or experience required. Spend a morning in the gardens, help wherever you are needed, and leave with dirt on your boots and a little more connection to the land.
We would not be Blackwood without our incredibly passionate volunteers. Volunteers gravitate to Blackwood Land for a variety of reasons. Some use it as a regenerative activity, others for the scenery on the farm and others love being a part of a resilient food system. The easiest way to get involved and experience Blackwood is at our weekly Volunteer Days.

For our Blackwood Landfarm Volunteers
Starting Wednesday April 3rd, 2024, we will keep our gate open 8:30-10 am. We understand traffic and life get in the way sometimes! You are always welcome to call us at 1-888-741-7199 if anything comes up and you’re unable to make it by then. This arrival window will allow us to ensure everyone who can make it has a volunteer task assigned to them. It also gives us an accurate headcount of volunteers to give to our chefs as they prepare to make your gratitude lunch at the end of volunteering.
Also starting Wednesday, April 3rd, we will be requiring volunteers to sign up at least 24 hours in advance of their volunteer day. We want to make sure we can create the best volunteer experience possible, and your submissions also help us track engagement data that becomes important to our funding. We also want to ensure any dietary restrictions you may have will be planned for by our chef team.
Your support is what helps make Blackwood’s mission possible, and we are so grateful for our volunteers!!
